This is an easy way to get your kids to cook dinner for the family. It was pretty rainy this past weekend making it perfect comfort food weather. My little chef loves a great slow cooker recipe because he can prepare the meal fairly independently.
Step 1
Chop the Onion (1/2) and Baby Potatoes (8) and set aside. Wash and pat the Chicken (2 lb) dry.
Step 2
Season the chicken with Salt (to taste) and Ground Black Pepper (to taste) and add it in the slow cooker.
Step 3
Add the chopped onion and potatoes, along with the French Baby Carrots (2 cups) to the slow cooker.
Step 4
In a bowl, add Water (4 cups) , Bay Leaves (2) , Onion Powder (1 tsp) , Garlic Powder (1 tsp) , Dried Basil (1 tsp) , Dried Oregano (1 tsp) , and Dried Thyme (1 tsp) . Juice the Lemon (1/2) into the bowl. Pour mixture in slow cooker.
Step 5
Set slow cooker to high for 4 hours.
Step 6
Enjoy!
